Obama releases long form birth certificate, FINALLY – why now?

Let’s assume what was released is authentic, why did Obama FINALLY release the long-form now, after people have been asking for it for almost 3 years and after he and his administration have been saying they already released it?   Could the timing have anything to do with Trump’s investigation, Dr. Jerome Corsi’s new book or Franklin Graham applying pressure?  I think all of these things are factors.

Did you hear Obama’s press release on this?  As usual, he came off as pompous and ‘un-presidential’ and didn’t waste an opportunity to attack Republicans or pat himself on the back.

Let’s assume this long form birth certificate is authentic.  That would mean Obama and his minions jerked the American public around for almost 3 years.   I don’t believe Obama suddenly decided people deserved to see the long-form copy of his birth certificate.   Something else motivated him.  Why has he not released all the other sealed records, his college transcripts, for example, along with the long-form copy of his birth certificate?  Do we still not ‘deserve’ to see all the other ‘sealed’ records?

Another issue to consider, which I won’t go into here…  with or without this long-form birth certificate, the question of  ‘natural-born citizen’ status still remains.

White House Releases Obama’s Long-Form Birth Certificate

Published April 27, 2011

FoxNews.com

The White House has released President Obama’s long-form birth certificate, saying the document is “proof positive” the president was born in Hawaii.

Obama, who discussed the release at the White House Wednesday morning, said he had been “puzzled” by the so-called birther controversy as it built over the last two-and-a-half years. He said he normally would not bother to comment on such an issue, but expressed concern that it was starting to distract attention away from pressing challenges like the budget.

He told the public and the media that it’s time to “get serious.”

Colorado Republicans vote down in-state tuition for Illegals

In-state tuition for “Illegals” is a big deal here in Colorado.  And SB11-126 (aka in-state tuition for illegals)  not passing  is a big victory, in my humble opinion.  SB11-126 failed to pass in a straight party-line vote; 7 Republicans voted ‘no’, 6 Democrats voted ‘yes’.

Had it not been for all the recent “Tea Party”/grassroots activity, the outcome of this bill may have been different.  The elected officials who voted on this may not have been comprised of  7 Republicans and 6 Democrats.  And some of the Republicans that did vote ‘no’ may have voted ‘yes’ , without the pressure of citizen activists.

I sat through 3 hours of the 5 hour testimony yesterday and almost testified myself against this bill.  Boo hoo, cry me a river – these ‘undocumented’ students might now have to go to college in a state other than Colorado, because they can’t afford ‘out-of-state’ tuition.  Welcome to the real world.  This is all so insane.  The fact that Liberals call illegals ‘undocumented’ rather than ‘illegal’ and act like they are poor little victims makes me ill.  “Undocumented” is among the many “Politically Correct” words I refuse to use.  I have empathy for these kids for what their parents did to them…brought them here illegally.  But, I don’t have so much empathy that I’m willing to reward them at the expense of taxpayers and CITIZEN students, whose slots they would take if they were given ‘in-state’ tuition.  The Denver Post article referenced below is misleading on a number of levels.  It says in-state tuition is not ‘subsidized’.  This is not true.  The in-state tuition rate is subsidized in various ways, by Colorado and OTHER STATE’s tax payer’s $$, by federal funding (e.g. ARRA) and other things.

I didn’t realize until yesterday that the Supreme Court ruled that any child here in the United States, legal or illegal, cannot be denied K-12 education.  So, these illegals who are crying because they can’t get in-state tuition, have gotten whatever other education they have gotten here for ‘free’.  And guess what, they will still be illegal, even after they graduate college.  So how would they get a job here?

We can thank this mess on our local, state and federal government for not enforcing immigration laws.  What legally and morally are we to do with all these children who are here illegally, whose parents have not paid taxes, but who know no other country than the US of A?  Why were these kids and their parents not deported a long time ago?  What kind of work are their parents doing?  Who’s employing them?  What other ‘freebies’ have they gotten besides free education, at the taxpayer’s expense?

I don’t know what the answer is.  But I certainly don’t think it is to reward Illegals by giving them yet more ‘freebies’, while at the same time punishing CITIZENS.

As Colorado Representative Chris Holbert  (R-Parker, HD 44) pointed out, elected officials’ responsibility is to CITIZEN constituents, not to illegals.  Because of that fact alone, SB11-126 should not even have been put forth for debate.  Shame on representatives Joe Miklosi (D-Denver, HD 9) and Angela Williams (D-Denver, HD 7) for sponsoring this bill.

Obama on the campaign trail

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer today undid the work of Republican majorities in both houses of her state legislature by issuing a veto of House Bill 2177, the plan to exercise the state’s right to run elections and require presidential candidates to prove their constitutional eligibility.

But there’s a new proposal already in the works in Louisiana, House Bill 561 by Rep. Alan Seabaugh and Sen. A.G. Crowe, and there would be no veto there.

“It’s not part of our package, but if the legislature passes it, we’ll sign it,” Kyle Plotkin, press secretary to Gov. Bobby Jindal, told the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Brewer’s veto message failed to address the reason for the bill: the uncertainty over whether Barack Obama is a “natural born Citizen,” as the Constitution requires for presidents.

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer vetoes birther bill

Jan Brewer brings up some goods points.  In theory this sounds like a good bill, but some of the details may not be the best.  Let’s hope another bill, one that Brewer won’t veto, gets introduced and passed, long before the 2012 elections.  Well, according to the AOL article, Brewer brings up some good points.  I haven’t actually read the bill.  Anyone who has read the bill care to comment?

PHOENIX — Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer on Monday vetoed a bill that would have required President Barack Obama and other presidential candidates to prove their U.S. citizenship before their names could appear on the state’s ballot.

The bill would have made Arizona the first state to pass such a requirement. Opponents had warned the bill would give another black eye to Arizona after last year’s controversy over the state’s illegal immigration enforcement law.

Brewer said in her veto letter that she was troubled that the bill empowered Arizona’s secretary of state to judge the qualifications of all candidates when they file to run for office.

FEC Probes Obama’s 2008 Campaign Finances

I’m glad the FEC is finally probing into Obama’s 2008 campaign finances.  But where was the main stream media in covering this back in 2008?  And where are they today?  Many of us knew about this back in 2008 and this was one of the many reasons we were urging people not to vote for Obama.  Without the backing of the mainstream media, we were fighting an uphill battle.  Obama said he plans on spending ONE BILLION dollars on his 2012 campaign.  Where are the media watchdogs on this?  Spending this much money on a presidential campaign, in itself, should have people outraged.  Just think of how much good could be done with that ONE BILLION.  Think of all the houses, cars and gas Obama could buy people with ONE BILLION dollars!

Barack Obama raised a record-shattering $750 million on his way to winning the 2008 presidential election. But that stunning flood of cash has triggered an investigation by the Federal Election Commission, which is taking a detailed look at the campaign’s records and transactions.

According to Roll Call, the audit of Obama’s financial records began Barack Obama, Federal Election Commission, Investigation, 2008 Presidential Electiontwo years ago. It was not required by law, since the Obama campaign did not accept federal matching funds and funded itself entirely with private donations. But allegations of improper contributions, coupled with the FEC’s suspicions of certain transactions, led to the probe.

Obama recently officially launched his 2012 campaign effort, and a representative there admitted to Roll Call that a review was under way.
