Lame Stream Media Bias and Propaganda

Media bias and plain every day shoddy, unethical reporting occurs a lot in the media. Most reporters are NOT held to the same high standards that Tea Party Brewing.com requires of us. We must document everything, have reliable resources and have clear and convincing writing. This takes time. We can’t just sit down at the computer and opine. We must do extensive research.

A lot of my readers help me do research on various topics. They send me tips, or web pages, or information all the time that are interesting.
Here is one you will find quite intriguing and it shows media bias and propaganda in the “news” the lamestream media puts out.

One of my favorite researchers gets a tip of the Red Hat for sending me this information. She wrote:

Helen – I came across two very differing accounts of some campaign stops Rick Perry has made in Iowa this weekend. The major news outlet that will get the most visibility across the nation today is Politico. Journalist, Reid Epstein, posted an article at Politico entitled, “Perry’s Immigration Problem Grows”.
www.politico.com “Perry’s Immigration Problem Grows” Reid Epstein Oct. 9, 2011

Mr. Epstein highlights two elderly women that had attended Perry gatherings in Iowa and he quoted both of them as being dissatisfied with Perry’s responses to questions about in-state tuition for children of Illegals in Texas. [Note: over 28 states do this – Texas is not the only one.]
It wasn’t until I took a more in-depth look at those rallies from the perspective of other journalists writing for The Des Moines Register that I felt certain that Mr. Epstein was intent on finding comments that aligned with his political philosophy and not necessarily those that reflected the majority opinion of those who heard Perry speak, or these two women’s thoughts and feelings.
Epstein’s coverage proved to be disingenuous and factually misleading. SHAME!!

One of the women Epstein spoke with, 88 yr old Kathryn Parsons, did comment that she wasn’t entirely satisfied with Perry’s response to her question, but added she believes he is still the strongest candidate.

Epstein conveniently left out her remark of support for Perry and instead, twisted her comment and framed the title of his article in such a way that the reader automatically assumes Rick Perry hit upon heavy opposition while in Iowa.

Other reporters on the ground in Iowa that covered the same events had the professional integrity to tell the truth and their own personal political leanings are indiscernible.
As the election year ensues, we here at Tea Party Brewing.com urge you to do your own research and delve a little bit below the surface. The lamestream media has no interest in advancing conservative values or candidates and they are counting on you to buy their distortions and propaganda.

Will Hillary Run?

Will Hillary Step Up To Challenge Obama?

Speculation runs rampant that Obama resign shortly….say by January? If his numbers continue to slide and they will as the economy is hitting everyone in the United States with cross punches that really, really hurt, the Dems will start to put pressure on him to do so.

They don’t want to lose congress after holding it for the last 5 years. They love that power!  In the house, Nancy wants once again to hold that speaker’s seat and will refurbish the jet she once had as a perk and Harry loves telling other senators what to do and when to do it.

But really, have you ever wondered who takes the place of Obama if his numbers and support continue to decline? According to recent polling, 89% of the country thinks it is headed in the wrong direction.

Consider that his campaign is in full swing while he uses taxpayer resources to continue to run around the country making speeches and watches as Rome burns. He observes from the sidelines as Americans suffer from his disinterest in improving the economy. As a result, Obama’s numbers continue to slide and there is only one person who has the moxy, ground game, money, and popularity to run against him or to step up if he resigns – Hillary Clinton.

None in congress will have time to get a campaign together or are well enough liked to campaign for the White House gold ring – and those who have the money to run a campaign are generally unknown. So who is left?

In the last election Americans voted against Bush rather than for Obama and this election will be of the same nature – voting against the incumbent, not for a Republican. So what is to lose if Hillary runs? She enjoys a 62% popularity rating in the polls and has her hubby behind her who is also liked. IF she isn’t elected, what does she lose? She slides into retirement savoring the fact that she actually “beat” Obama at his own game.
But can she win? She is as much a pathological liar as he is and that was clearly proven with her outrageous story of being shot at by Bosnian snipers as she deplaned in that country – while little girls were standing on the tarmac with flowers to greet her! Conservative talk show media will raise the travelgate scandal as she was heavily involved in it and cite her record as secretary of state which is almost non-existent – Palestine still fights with Isreal and Libya is controlled by rebels we support and yet know nothing about.

She doesn’t have negotiation skills nor a government who stands strong as to what is believed so would she make a good president? Many liberal Democrats think so.

Consider the following:
Her husband, Bill has written a new book about putting America to work – that comes out in November. The success of that will accrue to her. She will parrot his ideas – good or bad.
He wants her to be president so he can once again be president. You can bet that he will be her “senior advisor” and take center stage in the White house. Back when, he said that she was “One of the brightest people of her generation.” Oh yeah baby! She stood behind her man when he philandered so now its tit for tat in their household.

He has recently come out and criticized Obama’s jobs and tax proposals as “confusing.” A first grader would call it “Poo Poo” which is a better description. His old advisor and consultant, James Carville is also out stumping about Obama’s failure and his chances of winning. Carville doesn’t do this unless the Clintons tell him to do so. It doesn’t do Bill any good for himself as he can’t run again, but it does wonders for Hillary and her chances to be the Democratic nominee come January or February.

Hillary has spent time this past three years getting some “bona fides” that will stand up as a claim to her competency – she is Secretary of State. As state Senator from NY and a former first lady, she had enough in liberal minds to be named as Secretary and with her current position, those same liberal voters will blindly push the button next to her name.

Obama is battling for his political life and if the economy does not turn around, he will not win in November – Americans will punish him for not having the sense to do what is needed.

They already see the results of his fecklessness, his inexperience, and his ego. So who is waiting in the wings? Hillary!

It’s Time to Impeach the President!

By Helen Sabin
July 27, 2011

When Barack Obama was sworn into office, he took an oath to defend and protect the United States of America!  He has done exactly the opposite.

The Constitution of the United States provides for removal of a derelict and dangerous president through impeachment proceedings.   According to this amazing document, the “… President shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, TreasonBribery, or other High Crimes and Misdemeanors.”  One could argue that Obama engaged in all these crimes!

Dictionary.com defines treason as a violation of allegiance to one’s sovereign or to one’s state or the betrayalof a trust or confidence; breach of faith;treachery.

Treason could be argued in terms of his denigration of the United States and his catering to countries that are anti-freedom and anti-American.  Obama gives billions to foreign countries to drill for oil while keeping America in debt through his energy policies which include halting drilling in America thus destroying the livelihoods of many thousands of Americans.  He bows to the Saudi Prince instead of standing tall as the leader of a country that is free.  He also encourages major American companies to move jobs and productivity overseas in order to get tax breaks that loyal companies who remain here can’t get.

Treason could also be argued in that Obama may not be a citizen of the United States.  He has never allowed his passports, social security application, college applications, grades, etc to be viewed by the American public.  He must be made to provide important records and not hide them or that is a breach of faith and treachery and a betrayal of a trust.  He should be disqualified from running for a second term until he proves as John McCain did that he is a citizen.

Treason could also be argued in his gutting of the military.  As Commander in Chief, he is creating a “hollow force” that will function with fewer personnel, fewer weapons systems that help protect the troops, slowed modernization of necessary and life saving equipment and reduced readiness which puts the troops in danger – treasonous behavior and violation of his oath to protect and defend the country and its people.

The Hermanator wins first Republican debate

I watched Fox News with special interest on Thursday evening to get a glimpse of the candidates who have thrown their hats in the ring to be the next president.  Here is my assessment.

Tim Pawlenty – former Governor of Minnesota – I was frustrated by Governor Pawlenty from the first moment he opened his mouth.   He was asked a question and he had a limited time to give me an answer.  Still, he felt it necessary to waste half of that time by thanking South Carolina’s Republican Party, his fellow candidates, Fox News, the citizens of Greenville, SC and everyone who wasn’t there.  He will have additional chances with me but he doesn’t get another chance to make a first impression.  His answer regarding a centrally controlled healthcare system managed by government from Washington was spot on.  It is not what we need.  Pawlenty would be much better than Obama.

Ron Paul – Congressman from Texas – his libertarian views extend well beyond my sensitivities.  I agree with him on most Constitutional matters and I especially liked his answer as to what government would be left to do if it were to end all those things that Paul rallies against.  His answer was that it could get back to those powers specifically enumerated in the Constitution.  Great answer.  I do not agree with his isolationist views.  His attitude toward the social issues like homosexual marriage and drugs also bother me.  Still, he would be much better than Obama.

Gary Anderson – former Governor of New Mexico – I do not like his views on abortion.  His position on allowing abortion prior to viability makes no sense to me.  When is viability?  Several years ago it might have meant a baby who had not developed beyond five pounds.  Today it might mean two pounds or even less.  This is a moving target as medical science advances and more and more babies are able to survive earlier and earlier outside the womb.  And then, I have little patience for persons who do not distinguish between water boarding, sleep deprivation and torture and even less patience for a leader who would not be willing to use whatever method was required to gain information that theoretically could save thousands or even millions of lives.  Don’t preach values to me when millions of American lives are potentially at stake and one man possesses information that might save those Americans.  My short answer to would I torture is always no but my long answer when considering a situation as I just describe is that I would do anything and everything short of murder to get that information including actual torture.  Save the moral arguments that our values are better than that.  In the words of Dennis Miller, it would be immoral not to do everything necessary when lives are at stake.  Still, Anderson would be better than Obama.

Rick Santorum – former Senator from Pennsylvania – Santorum had especially good answers about the social issues that Governor Mitch Daniels has suggested we suspend.  He emphasized freedom, liberty and the importance of the family unit as the core to American society.  He also had a very good answer regarding the potential personal negatives of Newt Gingrich.  I think Santorum was one of the two biggest winners on Thursday night.  He would definitely be better than Obama.

Herman Cain – former Chief Executive Officer – Godfather’s Pizza – he has never held elected office – Cain definitely turned his lack of political experience into a positive.  Most in Washington have held elected political office before, how is that working out for you?  His quips were engaging and he provided a sharp contrast in the way he approached problem solving than the typical politician.  His straightforward answer to dealing with our energy needs was refreshing and identical to the answer I would give and anyone with a modicum of experience in business would give.  He did an excellent job Thursday night.  He was pressed by the questioners because he has never held elective office and he came out the biggest winner because he was obviously prepared for those questions.  Cain would definitely be better than Obama.

After the debate Frank Luntz led a focus group who overwhelmingly believed that Cain won the debate.  When pressed by Luntz about Cain’s lack of experience Luntz paralleled Cain’s lack of experience to the lack of experience of Barack Obama that has contributed to our horrid state of affairs.  He also seemed to ignore that Obama is a Marxist and Cain a strong capitalist.  Luntz pointed to the experience that Obama had as a US Senator.  I was disappointed that no one told Luntz that Obama was a US Senator in name only.  He spent the entire period that he was a Senator campaigning for president and he never held any position in his life that involved managing a single thing or a single person.  Cain has that experience in spades over Obama.  As the former Chief Executive he knows how to manage and it is management that is in such short supply in Washington D.C.

Obama releases long form birth certificate, FINALLY – why now?

Let’s assume what was released is authentic, why did Obama FINALLY release the long-form now, after people have been asking for it for almost 3 years and after he and his administration have been saying they already released it?   Could the timing have anything to do with Trump’s investigation, Dr. Jerome Corsi’s new book or Franklin Graham applying pressure?  I think all of these things are factors.

Did you hear Obama’s press release on this?  As usual, he came off as pompous and ‘un-presidential’ and didn’t waste an opportunity to attack Republicans or pat himself on the back.

Let’s assume this long form birth certificate is authentic.  That would mean Obama and his minions jerked the American public around for almost 3 years.   I don’t believe Obama suddenly decided people deserved to see the long-form copy of his birth certificate.   Something else motivated him.  Why has he not released all the other sealed records, his college transcripts, for example, along with the long-form copy of his birth certificate?  Do we still not ‘deserve’ to see all the other ‘sealed’ records?

Another issue to consider, which I won’t go into here…  with or without this long-form birth certificate, the question of  ‘natural-born citizen’ status still remains.

White House Releases Obama’s Long-Form Birth Certificate

Published April 27, 2011

FoxNews.com

The White House has released President Obama’s long-form birth certificate, saying the document is “proof positive” the president was born in Hawaii.

Obama, who discussed the release at the White House Wednesday morning, said he had been “puzzled” by the so-called birther controversy as it built over the last two-and-a-half years. He said he normally would not bother to comment on such an issue, but expressed concern that it was starting to distract attention away from pressing challenges like the budget.

He told the public and the media that it’s time to “get serious.”

FEC Probes Obama’s 2008 Campaign Finances

I’m glad the FEC is finally probing into Obama’s 2008 campaign finances.  But where was the main stream media in covering this back in 2008?  And where are they today?  Many of us knew about this back in 2008 and this was one of the many reasons we were urging people not to vote for Obama.  Without the backing of the mainstream media, we were fighting an uphill battle.  Obama said he plans on spending ONE BILLION dollars on his 2012 campaign.  Where are the media watchdogs on this?  Spending this much money on a presidential campaign, in itself, should have people outraged.  Just think of how much good could be done with that ONE BILLION.  Think of all the houses, cars and gas Obama could buy people with ONE BILLION dollars!

Barack Obama raised a record-shattering $750 million on his way to winning the 2008 presidential election. But that stunning flood of cash has triggered an investigation by the Federal Election Commission, which is taking a detailed look at the campaign’s records and transactions.

According to Roll Call, the audit of Obama’s financial records began Barack Obama, Federal Election Commission, Investigation, 2008 Presidential Electiontwo years ago. It was not required by law, since the Obama campaign did not accept federal matching funds and funded itself entirely with private donations. But allegations of improper contributions, coupled with the FEC’s suspicions of certain transactions, led to the probe.

Obama recently officially launched his 2012 campaign effort, and a representative there admitted to Roll Call that a review was under way.
