Corsi Book An Important One
Well, it’s finally here, Dr. Jerome Corsi’s new book, Where’s the Birth Certificate?: The Case that Barack Obama is not Eligible to be President. Jerome Corsi is also the author of the Obama Nation.
The American Thinker article posted below is one of the best I’ve read about the case of Obama’s eligibility and the alarming realization that America is drifting towards Pravda-style journalism.

Jerome Corsi’s much-anticipated book, Where’s the Birth Certificate?, is important in ways that go beyond the eligibility of Barack Obama to be president of the United States. That question the book addresses but cannot quite resolve.
Corsi’s book could help level the battlefield. He is the Joe Friday of reporters, “Just the facts, ma’m.” Even the skeptical reader will have to appreciate how conscientiously he makes his case that Barack Obama’s eligibility is by no means a given. And for all its attention to detail, the book is well paced and always engaging.

Obama releases long form birth certificate, FINALLY – why now?
Let’s assume what was released is authentic, why did Obama FINALLY release the long-form now, after people have been asking for it for almost 3 years and after he and his administration have been saying they already released it? Could the timing have anything to do with Trump’s investigation, Dr. Jerome Corsi’s new book or Franklin Graham applying pressure? I think all of these things are factors.
Did you hear Obama’s press release on this? As usual, he came off as pompous and ‘un-presidential’ and didn’t waste an opportunity to attack Republicans or pat himself on the back.
Let’s assume this long form birth certificate is authentic. That would mean Obama and his minions jerked the American public around for almost 3 years. I don’t believe Obama suddenly decided people deserved to see the long-form copy of his birth certificate. Something else motivated him. Why has he not released all the other sealed records, his college transcripts, for example, along with the long-form copy of his birth certificate? Do we still not ‘deserve’ to see all the other ‘sealed’ records?
Another issue to consider, which I won’t go into here… with or without this long-form birth certificate, the question of ‘natural-born citizen’ status still remains.
White House Releases Obama’s Long-Form Birth Certificate
Published April 27, 2011

The White House has released President Obama’s long-form birth certificate, saying the document is “proof positive” the president was born in Hawaii.
Obama, who discussed the release at the White House Wednesday morning, said he had been “puzzled” by the so-called birther controversy as it built over the last two-and-a-half years. He said he normally would not bother to comment on such an issue, but expressed concern that it was starting to distract attention away from pressing challenges like the budget.
He told the public and the media that it’s time to “get serious.”

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer today undid the work of Republican majorities in both houses of her state legislature by issuing a veto of House Bill 2177, the plan to exercise the state’s right to run elections and require presidential candidates to prove their constitutional eligibility.
But there’s a new proposal already in the works in Louisiana, House Bill 561 by Rep. Alan Seabaugh and Sen. A.G. Crowe, and there would be no veto there.
“It’s not part of our package, but if the legislature passes it, we’ll sign it,” Kyle Plotkin, press secretary to Gov. Bobby Jindal, told the New Orleans Times-Picayune.
Brewer’s veto message failed to address the reason for the bill: the uncertainty over whether Barack Obama is a “natural born Citizen,” as the Constitution requires for presidents.

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer vetoes birther bill
Jan Brewer brings up some goods points. In theory this sounds like a good bill, but some of the details may not be the best. Let’s hope another bill, one that Brewer won’t veto, gets introduced and passed, long before the 2012 elections. Well, according to the AOL article, Brewer brings up some good points. I haven’t actually read the bill. Anyone who has read the bill care to comment?
PHOENIX — Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer on Monday vetoed a bill that would have required President Barack Obama and other presidential candidates to prove their U.S. citizenship before their names could appear on the state’s ballot.
The bill would have made Arizona the first state to pass such a requirement. Opponents had warned the bill would give another black eye to Arizona after last year’s controversy over the state’s illegal immigration enforcement law.
Brewer said in her veto letter that she was troubled that the bill empowered Arizona’s secretary of state to judge the qualifications of all candidates when they file to run for office.

Arizona Senate approves ‘birther’ bill
Now this is what I call PROGRESS!!! Let’s hope it passes the House. Democrats argue state officials aren’t fully qualified to determine the validity of a candidate’s documents. So, then, who is qualified? Can those same Democrats point out the ‘qualified’ individuals who determined the validity of Obama’s documents? I doubt it. If anyone did do that, why has the American public not been notified about it? WAKE UP AMERICA! We’re all in this together. This is not, and should not be, viewed as a ‘party’ issue.
The bill approved Wednesday gives candidates additional ways to prove they meet the constitutional requirements to be president.
It was prompted by the ongoing claim by some that there is no proof President Barack Obama was born in the United States and is therefore ineligible to be president.
Democrats argued the bill exceeds the state’s authority and say state officials are not fully qualified to determine the validity of a candidate’s documents.
Republicans argue the U.S. Constitution gives state legislatures the right to determine how federal elections are conducted.
The bill now goes to the House for a final vote.

Herman Cain responds to “birther” question with respect, why can’t others?
Check out Herman Cain’s response when asked about the “birther” issue. This is exactly the type of response I would like to have seen from others who have not studied all the ins and outs of this issue. Herman Cain answered the question honestly and with respect to those of us who would like to see proof of Obama’s eligibility to be POTUS. Why did people like Ken Buck & Tim Pawlenty not respond in a similar manner when asked about this? These two and many other Republicans seem to have a habit of responding with some off the cuff, snide to “birthers” remark like “If there were something to the birther issue, Hillary or McCain would have found it”. Really? If that’s so, why didn’t Hillary’s campaign find out about John Edwards?
Herman Cain’s response when asked about Obama’s proof of eligibility is just one more reason I love this man.
In this video you’ll hear Tim Pawlenty say that he doesn’t believe someone that long ago created a fraudulent situation. I don’t think that either, nor do I think that is what most “birthers” believe. Pawlenty also says that CNN reported that they saw “the” birth certificate and he believes them. These statements tell me he completely misses the point.
Donald Trump ‘attempts’ to discuss the birther issue on the View
Donald Trump is really starting to turn the heat up on the “Birther” issue. I wish he would have spoken up 2+ years ago, before the 2008 election. But nonetheless, I’m glad he’s bringing attention and legitimacy to this issue – better late than never.
Donald Trump said the following to Joy Behar on the The View on 3/23/2011:
“Everybody else has to. Excuse me. I really believe there is a birth certificate. Look, she’s smiling. Why doesn’t he show his birth certificate? I wish he would. I think it’s a terrible pale hanging over him,”
…
“I want him to show his birth certificate. I want him to show his birth certificate,” ….
Watch the video below and notice how the women on the View make it difficult for Trump to even talk in this segment. Other than Elisabeth Hasslebeck, they’re all over him and seem to miss the point entirely – that in order to be the President of the United States of America, you must be a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN. Whoopi Goldberg tries to turn this into a “race” thing, which it is not. In watching this, it seems to me that none of the women on the View know much about this issue and didn’t do their homework before the show. Yet they think “birthers” are “idiots”. Go Figure! Rather than race bait and invalidate “birthers”, why didn’t Whoopi and why don’t others, who don’t think Obama needs to show his birth certificate, simply say they don’t care where Obama was born and don’t think following the eligibility requirements to be the President of the United States, as outlined in the Constitution, is important?
Here’s one possible answer:
Because that would require honesty and would take away their ability to race bait and throw arrows at “birthers” like you and me.
