In the last Presidential CNN debate, Rick Santorum highlighted the “lies” told by Mitt Romney on his health care plan and questioned his credibility on the health care issue stating it was the basis for “ObamaCare.” Mitt lost his cool. Know why? Romney hates it when someone criticizes him or his health plan. He knows it was bad for his state but he won’t admit it – think narcissism like Obama who blames everything from the Tsunami to stupid kids for his failures. Romney is the same.

He can give but he can’t take and his upset at being attacked really showed up clearly in the debate.

Santorum brought out many points about Romney Care that should be emphasized to show Romney lied about his Romney Care Plan:

Santorum stated that Romney care requires an individual to buy health insurance or else citizens will have to pay a penalty – sounds like Obama Care doesn’t it?

Santorum stated that Romney care is expensive and that it takes a lot of money to subsidize the middle class without insurance and all the poor in the state – again Obama Care is the same.

Santorum stated that the Massachusetts government controls how insurance plans are set up in the state – and that the free market is not allowed in to compete. Again – a criticism of Obama Care.

He pointed out that Romney Care is the most expensive health care in the nation and so will Obama Care be if the Supreme Court doesn’t rule it to be unconstitutional. Already his “Class” portion of the Obama Care bill has been dropped due to the Obama Administration suddenly realizing it would be too expensive and doesn’t work – DUH!

And what did Romney do in response to these charges? Like Obama, Romney tried to weasel out with this answer: “This is something that was crafted for Massachusetts.” Then he added another lie to that statement: “It would be wrong to adopt this as a nation.”

Here is where all candidates should attack Romney – as he directly contradicts that statement in his own book! Santorum should have had that book in hand with the passage highlighted to show that Romney was lying and so the American public could see for themselves that he did so.

The candidates also let Romney get away with saying his citizens actually “like” the medical plan. According to the criticisms on the web about Romney Care this is another “lie.”

Romney also claimed that his plan would reduce the cost of health care, but that turned out not to be true according to an article in the Boston Globe:

“Employers and residents pay the highest premiums costs in the country.”

Lying about costs and forcing a health care plan on his own residents tells me that if given the chance, Romney will do the same as President because Romney is a RINO – Republican in name only. He is a socialist disguised as a Republican.

He is one of the elitists who thinks he knows what’s good for America and its people whether they agree or not – similar to Obama. In fact, Romney is Obama II. What we need to realize is that we have had enough of one liberal socialist and don’t need his clone for the next four years.

Romney stated that he will issue waivers for Obama Care if elected President. That will do no good. It can still be brought up by future administrations and if they happen to be Democrats, it certainly will. And I am sure that sometime after the election, if Romney is successful and wins the Presidency, he will move to have a national health plan – he just can’t resist doing so as shown by actions in his own state and his denial and lies to questions asked in the debate.

Consider the following questions from the Globe: Which one of these parts of Romney Care encourages a free market?

1. To Citizens: You must buy insurance, whether you want it or not.
2. To Insurance Companies: You must cover people with pre-conditions. You cannot have caps on lifetime coverage.
3. To Both: You cannot negotiate for a low-cost catastrophic plan nor go across state lines.
4. To Both, Respectively: You must cover drug treatment, family planning, mental health problems and pregnancies. You must pay for these things even if you don’t want them or need them.
5. To Private Employers: You must cover employees or pay huge “fees” or fines for not doing so.
6. To Insurance Companies: You must not raise rates above a certain level, regardless of rising costs. Sounds like socialism to me, doesn’t it to you? Where is the free market here?
7. To Taxpayers: You must help pay the cost of not only your own insurance, but the insurance of families making $50,000 a year! (At least 15% of Massachusetts residents are almost fully subsidized, another 5% get partial subsidies).

Romney said in the last presidential debate: “What we do is rely on private insurers and people—93% of our people who are already insured had nothing changed. For the people who didn’t have insurance, they get private insurance, not government insurance.” Baloney! Prices shot up and now the premiums for citizens and businesses are expensive! But they can’t cross state lines to get a lower price – Romney didn’t allow for that!

Another thing to consider is that Romney, like Obama, refuses to admit that his plan is a failure due to costs and mandates required of its citizens. He is a denier much like Obama. He thinks he can do no wrong and cannot admit he was wrong!

At the next debate, all candidates needs to have Romney’s book on stage with his comments about national health care highlighted to show the American public! Just comparing Romney Care to Obama Care should take the wind out of Romney’s sails for sure.

If both Santorum and Perry will show what a liar Mitt Romney is both will move up in the polls.

Perry also needs to get his video on Romney Care out to the American public and keep hitting Mitt on this issue. The video is excellent and should be seen by all Americans. Perry and Santorum need to get the message out that Romney lied in the debate and have the facts/evidence/ to prove that statement. Then you will see Romney get as good as he gives and americans will realize that the truth died on the stage at the Presidential debate.

Reader One: I thought Newt did the best job of answering the questions last night and interestingly when he speaks, the hall quiets down – did you notice that? Would make a good President. Would love to see him debate Obama – he would eat him alive! Given the loss of Obummer’s teleprompter, BHO would say, uh, uh, ummm, ummm, …..

Reader Two: I liked Cain’s performance but his plan is coming under scrutiny and some say there is a 4th #9 in it – payroll taxes – and it causes the poor and middle classes to pay more.

Reader Three: Newt won clearly, Romney stumbled a tiny bit, Perry had more energy but didn’t raise his profile – he also took severe hits from Romney and didn’t hit back – he has to get some zingers to toss back at Romney. Ron Paul was his usual self – ridiculous and naïve!

Reader Four: I will vote for the person who will WIN! Anyone but Obama! But who actually won? From the answers last night, it was Gingrich! Romney as usual was scripted and he tries to laugh and shrug off when he gets hit hard – didn’t know his lawn service hired Illegals – give me a break!

Reader Five: I am leaning to Newt but I will vote for anyone but Osama who will win and free this country from the socialists! It won’t be Ron Paul or Bachmann or Santorum!

Reader Seven: I didn’t watch the debate so I can’t comment on what happened yesterday.

Reader Eight: On linguistics, style and command of issues alone, I think Gingrich is head above a few head and shoulders above the rest. And there’s no doubt he would do the best job of any GOP hopeful of debating President Obama. I wasn’t thrilled with Cain’s performance. I’d like to see him come out and say, “Hey, at least I HAVE a plan. Perfect? No. But “good” should not be the opponent of “perfect”. I can’t quite place my finger on it, but something about Romney just makes my hair tingle. His answer on the question concerning faith and its role in governing was masterful, as was Newt’s.

Reader Nine: I didn’t watch. I figured it would be the same old….same old. But I won’t vote for anyone but Obama!

Reader Ten: Newt was great, as always. He is the best at keeping Obama in the cross-hairs and he praises his GOP opponents. Unfortunately, he won’t win the nomination.

Reader Eleven: You may not realize it (as many either don’t or refuse to) but several of the other candidates positions are either direct take-offs or flavored versions of Ron Paul positions that he has held for decades. Also, you should have noted directly last night that more than once the other candidates either triangulated off of or directly agreed with Congressman Paul on several positions. The others have done that through several debates now. If you listen and watch carefully, almost 2/3 of the debate issues were Ron Paul’s issues and ones he has brought up and consistently held. The others were all triangulating off of his positions. On issues of fiscal and monetary policy, the reality of the war spending and foreign policy it seems that Ron Paul is setting the debate parameters.

Media bias and plain every day shoddy, unethical reporting occurs a lot in the media. Most reporters are NOT held to the same high standards that Tea Party Brewing.com requires of us. We must document everything, have reliable resources and have clear and convincing writing. This takes time. We can’t just sit down at the computer and opine. We must do extensive research.

A lot of my readers help me do research on various topics. They send me tips, or web pages, or information all the time that are interesting.
Here is one you will find quite intriguing and it shows media bias and propaganda in the “news” the lamestream media puts out.

One of my favorite researchers gets a tip of the Red Hat for sending me this information. She wrote:

Helen – I came across two very differing accounts of some campaign stops Rick Perry has made in Iowa this weekend. The major news outlet that will get the most visibility across the nation today is Politico. Journalist, Reid Epstein, posted an article at Politico entitled, “Perry’s Immigration Problem Grows”.

Mr. Epstein highlights two elderly women that had attended Perry gatherings in Iowa and he quoted both of them as being dissatisfied with Perry’s responses to questions about in-state tuition for children of Illegals in Texas. [Note: over 28 states do this – Texas is not the only one.]
It wasn’t until I took a more in-depth look at those rallies from the perspective of other journalists writing for The Des Moines Register that I felt certain that Mr. Epstein was intent on finding comments that aligned with his political philosophy and not necessarily those that reflected the majority opinion of those who heard Perry speak, or these two women’s thoughts and feelings.
Epstein’s coverage proved to be disingenuous and factually misleading. SHAME!!

One of the women Epstein spoke with, 88 yr old Kathryn Parsons, did comment that she wasn’t entirely satisfied with Perry’s response to her question, but added she believes he is still the strongest candidate.

Epstein conveniently left out her remark of support for Perry and instead, twisted her comment and framed the title of his article in such a way that the reader automatically assumes Rick Perry hit upon heavy opposition while in Iowa.

Other reporters on the ground in Iowa that covered the same events had the professional integrity to tell the truth and their own personal political leanings are indiscernible.
As the election year ensues, we here at Tea Party Brewing.com urge you to do your own research and delve a little bit below the surface. The lamestream media has no interest in advancing conservative values or candidates and they are counting on you to buy their distortions and propaganda.

Will Hillary Step Up To Challenge Obama?

Speculation runs rampant that Obama resign shortly….say by January? If his numbers continue to slide and they will as the economy is hitting everyone in the United States with cross punches that really, really hurt, the Dems will start to put pressure on him to do so.

They don’t want to lose congress after holding it for the last 5 years. They love that power!  In the house, Nancy wants once again to hold that speaker’s seat and will refurbish the jet she once had as a perk and Harry loves telling other senators what to do and when to do it.

But really, have you ever wondered who takes the place of Obama if his numbers and support continue to decline? According to recent polling, 89% of the country thinks it is headed in the wrong direction.

Consider that his campaign is in full swing while he uses taxpayer resources to continue to run around the country making speeches and watches as Rome burns. He observes from the sidelines as Americans suffer from his disinterest in improving the economy. As a result, Obama’s numbers continue to slide and there is only one person who has the moxy, ground game, money, and popularity to run against him or to step up if he resigns – Hillary Clinton.

None in congress will have time to get a campaign together or are well enough liked to campaign for the White House gold ring – and those who have the money to run a campaign are generally unknown. So who is left?

In the last election Americans voted against Bush rather than for Obama and this election will be of the same nature – voting against the incumbent, not for a Republican. So what is to lose if Hillary runs? She enjoys a 62% popularity rating in the polls and has her hubby behind her who is also liked. IF she isn’t elected, what does she lose? She slides into retirement savoring the fact that she actually “beat” Obama at his own game.
But can she win? She is as much a pathological liar as he is and that was clearly proven with her outrageous story of being shot at by Bosnian snipers as she deplaned in that country – while little girls were standing on the tarmac with flowers to greet her! Conservative talk show media will raise the travelgate scandal as she was heavily involved in it and cite her record as secretary of state which is almost non-existent – Palestine still fights with Isreal and Libya is controlled by rebels we support and yet know nothing about.

She doesn’t have negotiation skills nor a government who stands strong as to what is believed so would she make a good president? Many liberal Democrats think so.

Consider the following:
Her husband, Bill has written a new book about putting America to work – that comes out in November. The success of that will accrue to her. She will parrot his ideas – good or bad.
He wants her to be president so he can once again be president. You can bet that he will be her “senior advisor” and take center stage in the White house. Back when, he said that she was “One of the brightest people of her generation.” Oh yeah baby! She stood behind her man when he philandered so now its tit for tat in their household.

He has recently come out and criticized Obama’s jobs and tax proposals as “confusing.” A first grader would call it “Poo Poo” which is a better description. His old advisor and consultant, James Carville is also out stumping about Obama’s failure and his chances of winning. Carville doesn’t do this unless the Clintons tell him to do so. It doesn’t do Bill any good for himself as he can’t run again, but it does wonders for Hillary and her chances to be the Democratic nominee come January or February.

Hillary has spent time this past three years getting some “bona fides” that will stand up as a claim to her competency – she is Secretary of State. As state Senator from NY and a former first lady, she had enough in liberal minds to be named as Secretary and with her current position, those same liberal voters will blindly push the button next to her name.

Obama is battling for his political life and if the economy does not turn around, he will not win in November – Americans will punish him for not having the sense to do what is needed.

They already see the results of his fecklessness, his inexperience, and his ego. So who is waiting in the wings? Hillary!

I listened to President Obama’s address to the joint session of Congress and heard him say at least 14 times, “You must pass this bill, or you should pass this bill, or pass this bill.”  A hallmark of his speech making is that he repeats phrases constantly.  What he could say in 600 well chosen words, He typically says in 4000.
He also uses tri colons extensively to try to support a point without much substance behind them. Tri colons are repetitive phrasing of a few words: For example, I reject the idea that we need to ask people to choose between their jobs and their safety. I reject the argument that says for the economy to grow, we have to roll back protections that ban hidden fees by credit card companies…. I reject the idea that we have to strip away collective bargaining rights to compete in a global economy.
To see if Springs residents really listen to and understand the President’s speeches, I went to Democratic Headquarters downtown to do a survey. For sure Democrats should really listen to the President, shouldn’t they?
One lady stated firmly, “Of course I listen to the President’s speeches,” as if the question insulted her. So I gave her the test question from Obama’s address to Congress: Who said the following?
“We are tougher than the times we live in, and we are bigger than our politics have been. So let’s meet the moment. Let’s get to work, and let’s show the world once again why the United States of America remains the greatest nation on Earth.”

“Her answer? John F. Kennedy.

An older gentleman walked up and greeted me genially but said, Obama? “No dear, he talks too much and I am too old to listen to him.”
I then stood around for an hour and gave up. Not many people go into that office so I drove to a Fujiyama, at 22 S. Tejon which produces delicious Japanese food. Since I love this restaurant, I figured that if no one would talk to me I would just go in and have lunch. But lots of people went there to eat so here are the answers I got after the intro question: Did you listen to President Obama’s speech to the joint session of congress. If they said yes, they got the test question above.
Here are their replies: George Bush. Bill Clinton. JFK. I don’t know and I don’t care. Those words make no sense – no one said them. The comedian, Jeanne Garofool.
Then one man, who says he listens to all the President’s speeches, knew in an instant who said it – President Obama. “The man is an idiot,” stated the gentleman. “Obama always has stupid phrases like hope and change in his speeches and those words in his congressional speech mean nothing! They do not make sense,” he said.

Then he began his tirade which made me think him to be a Republican. He opined, “The President is inexperienced and plain every day stupid. He says such inane stuff that it bores me to tears to listen to him. He is the most ineffectual President we have ever had.”

Then he added the following: “In a speech in Cairo the President said, “I know too, that Islam has always been a part of America’s story.”

The man inquired angrily, “What kind of fool thinks that Muslims had a hand in the formation of America? Those weren’t Muslims who greeted the Colonists and helped them survive, they were American Indians! Those weren’t Muslim signatures on the Declaration of Independence; they were from men of this country -Americans! Muslim’s have not always been a part of America’s story. They are and have always been a part of Islam – not america – and for Obama to steal them from Allah is theft of a wonderful people who have their own history. They don’t need to be made part of America’s history for Obama’s own self-serving purposes.”
When asked if he were Republican, the man replied, “I am a registered Independent, an American citizen who is fed up with President Obama and his lack of knowledge about Muslims, and I am gravely concerned that he is destroying this country. I am also Muslim. Obama is trying to make America as corrupt as Indonesia.”
When I asked him to expand on the statement he said, “It was once a beautiful country.  America, like Indonesia, is being destroyed by its President.”

Looking at his watch, he asked  a question to see if I could answer it, “Who was the President of Indonesia in the 70’s?”    He waited patiently as I searched my memory banks, “Suharto I believe,” was my reply and he smiled, “Exactly. Now look at him and Obama – compare them and see how both destroyed their countries through corruption.”

With those parting words, he walked into the restaurant. Suddenly I decided that lunch would wait. I had enough for an article on Obama and his speech making. Now I would go research Obama and corruption. Solyndra came to mind as I drove.

Memo to Congress:  Impeachment probe needed now!

Is The Susan B Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Funding Abortions?
The money sent to the Susan B Komen Breast Cancer Foundation isn’t being used for cancer research. It might actually be used to perform abortions instead.

This last week, The American Life League obtained copies of the financial documents and federal tax records from the Susan B Komen foundation and found that the Komen group gave more than half a million dollars to Planned Parenthood in 2010 allegedly for breast cancer screening and care. Here is a copy of the spreadsheet produced by American Life League and the Planned Parenthood centers to which money was sent:

A Komen spokesman said in an interview in 2010, that the money is closely monitored to ensure it goes to fund only breast screenings, not abortions. However, Rita Diller, Director of the American Life League’s Stop Planned Parenthood (PP) initiative, stated that”… It doesn’t make sense for Komen to donate money to Planned Parenthood when the PP organization does not provide any kind of advanced breast care, including mammograms.
In addition, a Jan. 2010 study from the Seattle Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center called abortion a “known risk factor” for breast cancer, reporting a 20 to 50 percent increased chance for cancer among women who had had an abortion compared to women who carried their pregnancies to term.
So why would the Komen foundation encourage a risk factor for the growth of breast cancer by providing funds to PP who do abortions? Again, supposedly the money goes for breast cancer screening but the only screening you can get here in Colorado Springs at the PP office on Academy is a breast exam. While doing an online check as well as placing a telephone call here in Colorado Springs for breast cancer screening at the Planned Parenthood center on Academy Blvd. I was told I could get a breast exam but no mammography screening. That service isn’t available. I would have to go to a hospital or clinic to get anything like that. Yet the Komen Aspen Co Center donated over 25,000 to PP.
I could do the same type breast exam myself that I would pay for at PP. Being skeptical, I wonder where one half millions dollars went and for what it was used? I wonder if the Komen Foundation would be better off using their millions of dollars to donate to our hospitals here so women could get mammograms and other services that really have to do with breast cancer screening and care? Seems to make sense doesn’t it?
Funds from Medicaid and other tax dollars, which are not supposed to fund abortions, also make their way to Planned Parenthood which commits more abortions than any single organization in the nation. In their facilities, an abortion occurs approximately every 95 seconds. Since 1970 more than 5 million abortions have occurred states the American Life League.
In addition, unsuspecting Americans may not know that many of the Community Health Centers listed in the Obama Health plan will be run by PP and other groups that see abortion as an essential service. There is NO abortion restriction language in the bill to stop their offering these services to teen girls.
And it isn’t only the Komen foundation that allegedly supports abortions but also President Obama. He issued an executive order that will lift a ban on using taxpayer money to fund international “family planning” groups who counsel women and perform abortions around the world, but mainly in Africa with American taxpayers picking up the tab. Abortion groups that will enjoy a fresh injection of American taxpayers’ money will include the Family Guidance Association of Ethiopia and the Planned Parenthood Association of Zambia.
Whether you are for or against abortions, federal tax dollars and donated funds given for breast cancer research should not go for that purpose.
In the future, I will no longer donate to the Komen organization as I feel they have taken my money under false pretenses. Breast cancer is one of the top five worst cancers in America today and to use the money I sent for anything other than research violates the purpose and mission statement of the organization.
